Students are invited to decorate an artificial, fake, pumpkin as a favorite storybook character. These characters will decorate our hallways the month of October. Students should bring their decorated pumpkin to school on Monday, Oct. 16.

Each student at Mims selected two books to add to their personal library this summer. Students are asked to complete a short assignment on each that will be returned in the fall for a "surprise" award. Click here if you need copies of the assignments based on current level.

Mims has been added to the Renaissance Learning National Roll because our students K - 5 read for 30 minutes every day, they pass Accelerated Reader quizzes with an average percent correct above a 90, and they demonstrate growth in reading. Congratulations to all our wonderful readers.
